Functional Septoplasty or Rhinoplasty is the surgery that corrects the deviation of the septum or nasal septum, which may have originated from a trauma or congenital origin, causing obstruction and difficulty breathing.
Objectives of a Septoplasty or Functional Surgery:
  • Correct the alignment of the nasal septum
  • Improve breathing
  • Maintain the current aesthetics of the nose
Candidate:
  • Patient with a deviated septum
  • Suffered some kind of blow (trauma) to the nose
  • Problems breathing
  • Excessive fatigue while playing sports
  • Alteration of the sense of smell
  • Sinusitis
  • Headache

Surgery duration:
Outpatient surgery
Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (varies depending on the complexity of each case)
