The septoplasty or functional rhinoplasty is the surgery that corrects the deviation of the septum or nasal septum whose origin could be a trauma or congenital, causing obstruction and difficulty breathing.
Objectives of a Septoplasty or Functional Surgery
- Correct the alignment of the nasal septum
- Improve breathing
- Preserve the current appearance of the nose
Candidate
- Patient with deviated septum
- Suffered some type of blow (Trauma) to the nose
- Breathing problems
- Excessive fatigue when practicing a sport
- Alteration of the sense of smell
- Sinusitis
- Headache
Surgery duration
Outpatient surgery
Approx. 1:30 hrs. (Varies according to the complexity of each case)

Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (varies depending on the complexity of each case)
