Functional Septoplasty or Rhinoplasty is the surgery that corrects the deviation of the septum or nasal septum, which may have originated from a trauma or congenital origin, causing obstruction and difficulty breathing.
Objectives of a Septoplasty or Functional Surgery:
- Correct the alignment of the nasal septum
- Improve breathing
- Maintain the current aesthetics of the nose
Candidate:
- Patient with a deviated septum
- Suffered some kind of blow (trauma) to the nose
- Problems breathing
- Excessive fatigue while playing sports
- Alteration of the sense of smell
- Sinusitis
- Headache
Surgery duration:
Outpatient surgery
Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (varies depending on the complexity of each case)
Anesthesia: General Anesthesia
